Transportforum 2025: Aero EDIH Strengthens Networks and Projects

At this year’s Transportforum 2025, Jan-Olof Ehk represented Aero EDIH by delivering a presentation during the session The Importance and Development of Aviation for the Future. The presentation attracted around 70 attendees and was moderated by Rémi Vesvre from the Swedish Transport Agency.

This is a significant conference that highlights future transport solutions and sustainable development within the transport sector. The event brought together experts, decision-makers, and industry stakeholders to share insights and collaborate on creating a more sustainable and efficient transport future, with aviation playing a central role.

Key themes of the conference included sustainability, digitalisation and innovation, the integration of aviation with other transport modes, regulations and policies, and the future of airports. Aero EDIH participated as a natural partner, creating valuable networking opportunities and laying the groundwork for future projects.

The session also featured engaging contributions from other prominent speakers:

  • John Woodlock from Lund University, who discussed the topic ”Time for new regulators conversation? A social-legal approach.”
  • Tore Englén from WSP, who highlighted the importance of Arlanda Airport for Swedish growth and competitiveness.

Transportforum 2025 once again emphasised the importance of bringing together stakeholders from various sectors to discuss the future role of aviation, its societal impact, and its contribution to the economic development of the transport sector.
