September has been an eventful month for the project, and here we highlight some of the key activities.
Successful Pitch Events Connecting Companies and Investors
Aero EDIH recruited 14 European companies that presented their innovative solutions for the lower airspace sector – from drone technology, eVTOLs and electric aviation to new materials, hardware, software and forward-looking business models.
We would like to extend our warm thanks to Peak Inkubator in Östersund and the venture studio VNTRS for organising such an effective pitch event for the companies that have turned to Aero EDIH to connect with investors. We would also like to thank the Green Flyway test arena, which presented information about developing and testing new technologies – from electric aircraft and drones to advanced air traffic management.
Feedback from the investors showed that they appreciated our structured and effective digital format. The event created valuable opportunities for investment and collaboration – and we look forward to following these companies on their exciting journeys ahead!
Below you will find some pictures from the pitch events!

WARA PS Demonstration Week

Martin Holmberg, Rasmus Lundqvist and Per Bröms participated in the WARA PS Demonstration Week in Västervik.
The event featured a series of live demonstrations of autonomous aerial vehicles, showcasing the rapid development of autonomy and its potential across different sectors. The main focus was on Public Safety, but other applications were also highlighted — emphasising innovation, safety and efficiency in both civilian and industrial contexts.
A key part of the week was the opportunity to connect with Aero EDIH partners and other stakeholders, strengthening collaborations and exchanging ideas about the future of autonomous flight.
They returned from the event inspired by the progress in autonomy and energised by the valuable discussions.
European Research and Innovation Days 2025
The sixth edition of the European Commission’s flagship event took place under the theme “Together, towards a Research and Innovation Union”. Funding for SMEs and startups was one of the topics discussed, as well as the importance of both public and private equity in enabling scale-ups and the role of European investors in keeping successful companies in Europe.
AI was one of the main themes, with a particular focus on AI factories. It was emphasised that AI had already begun to transform science and that Europe must accelerate this transition. Examples were also given of how AI is being used to maximise security and create efficiency.
Aero EDIH is one of the tools for implementing the EU’s strategies. Our services within Support to Find Investment and Test Before Invest are two examples of this.
